Ten years in ten minutes is not that unrealistic.
Make-up is rightly called a miracle weapon. Properly applied it can make us look wiser, slimmer and yes, even younger! It is worth to know a few tips and tricks. Here are 8 tips from us, so that works well with the younger makeup.
1. Moisture is everything
It seems so natural and yet it is always forgotten: the moisturizer. If we do not provide our skin with enough moisture, any great make-up does not help at all. Dull and dry skin makes every wearer ten years older. So before putting on make-up, the first step after showering or cleaning your face should always be applying a moisturizer. Then the skin looks rosy and fresh and is ready for the hardships of the day.
2. Rosé makes you young
Even though the hype about lip trends is currently dull, one should be aware that dull lips make us look older. Especially our beloved Nude tones also ensure that our complexion can look pale. If we want to present our lips so youthful and fresh, it is: away from the trends and towards the classics. A delicate rosé, for example, is much better if you want to give your lips a little makeover.
3. Liquid concealer is a must
Concealer conceals dark circles and makes us look younger for that. The problem: If the consistency of the concealer is wrong, it can still make us look older. Everything in a pot contains waxes. These settle sooner or later in the fine wrinkles around the eye and then emphasize them. So prefers liquid concealers, which can be applied with a brush or an applicator. They hide dark circles just as well but do not settle in the wrinkles. In addition, a small extra bonus is that liquid concealer is easier to apply, so you need to dab and rub less of the sensitive skin around the eye. This will save us future wrinkles.
4. Eyeshadow only with primer
As soon as even the finest wrinkles on the eyelid are recognizable, eyeshadow magically finds a way to settle in it. It goes without saying that this naturally emphasizes every line. A good eyeshadow base can be a really good help in such a situation to put a few years on the face.
5. Emphasizes the contours
Good news is that as we age, we lose facial fat cells. Gone are the days of straining cheekbone modeling and the days when you can celebrate your clearly defined contours begin. Put some rouge on the highest part of the cheekbones and blind it down. The rejuvenating effect becomes even more intense when a hint of shimmer comes into play. So: long live the highlighter!
Tip: Highlighter is best applied only where, of course, the light would reflect, such as at the highest point of the cheekbones or on the bridge of the nose.
6. Leave your eyebrows alone
Like full hair, full eyebrows are a sign of youthfulness. Therefore, it is best to leave the eyebrows in peace and not constantly plucking around. As we get older, our brows also tend to become more asymmetrical. Many women try to correct this by allegedly tracing their eyebrows. Do not be subject to this mistaken belief! The eyebrows will not look more symmetrical but just look more artificial. Eyebrows are sisters, not twins – they may be different.
7. Wonderware Eyelash Curler
Very few people know it, but gravity does not stop at our eyelashes either. Eyelashes lose their momentum over the years and become straight. But you can counter that with a pair of eyelash curlers. Because nothing makes us look fresher than an open and alert look. To achieve that, you can even heat up the eyelash curler with the hair dryer so you have a hair curler for the eyelashes.
8. Length instead of volume
Our eyelashes not only become straighter over time but also thinner. Many women, therefore, resort to mascara, which promises more volume. However, this is a fallacy, since thin eyelashes are not able to carry the weight of the volume mascaras. The result is that the eyelashes are pushed down, so lose their momentum. So forget about Volume Mascara! Mascara that promises more length is the better alternative for an open look.
